Brackenspore Analysis

Rundown of wipes:

Insufficient healing - 12
Avoidable Healer death - 7
Missed Interrupt - 4

Average of 2.9 avoidable mechanics taken per attempt (63 over 22 attempts). That's 37 Call of the Tide (waves) hits and 26 Exploding Fungus hits for a total of 19 million damage. 4 other wave hits were avoided using personal cd's.

There were 467 spore shot hits - spore shot explodes in an 8 yd radius on the first player hit. There's a lot of splash going on. Tanks are also being hit, which should never happen. Dps need to block them.

Damage priority is Spore Shooters >>>>> Fungal Flesh Eater > Brackenspore. Mind Fungus should be avoided unless it is on top of a green/blue mushroom.

People need to use personal CD's to avoid damage whenever possible. That does not mean for exploding fungus. Waves are a very fringe case (like me clearing moss right where it spawns and having no time to move). Infesting spores and spore shot soaking are good examples.

this is the key to our success, blue mushroom dps haste buff must be utilized so flesh eater die FAST,

Beneficial Mushrooms

Living Mushroom

  • Brackenspore will summon a green Living Mushroom randomly in the room. It will spawn at 50% health and then slowly start to die as it takes more damage over time ( Withering).

  • If you heal this mushroom to 100% health, it will gain  Living Spores and start to heal all units within 20 yards for 24k every second. However, after it gets healed to 100%, it will start to take increased damage.

  • You want to use the  Living Spores to counter  Infesting Spores. Stack up under the mushroom and keep it topped for the duration of the channeling.

  • Make sure you don't top the Living Mushroom too early as it will only put more stress on your healers then to keep it alive. Your healers will end up wasting a lot of mana and healing trying to keep it alive instead of healing the raid.

  • We recommend to start topping the Living Mushroom at 90-95 boss energy and then rotate the raid towards the Living Mushroom if you aren't there already.

Rejuvenating Mushroom

  • This is a mushroom that your damage dealers will love. If the healers top this mushroom, the raid will gain  Rejuvenating Spores--a 30% haste buff and increased mana regeneration.

  • Therefore you want to keep the Rejuvenating Mushroom topped for as long as you possibly can. It's very big dps increase and it will make dealing with all the adds much easier.

Yeah i've said it before, but we should be focusing the blue shroom and using healing cd's while its up.  The blue shroom spawns on #2 green shroom and every even shroom after that.  So with greens in between we should have enough healer cd's to use on blues as you dont need tranq or equivalent cd's while green is up.  We can get away with smaller healer cd's.  Spam blue and try to keep it alive as long as possible.
